Craig, The J Release (discussed in detail in Q&A 3) and Supination.

Hi Craig, The J Release (discussed in detail in Q&A 3) and Supination (discussed in detail in Q&A 2) appear to be very different, especially concerning the movement of the right thumb at the start of the downswing. In the J Release, the body reacts naturally to the J movement, whilst Supination combines with body movements (side bend and pressure shift (lateral hips) to the lead side). The J Release feels much more like a natural throwing motion, and Supination feels awkward because initially, as the thumb starts in a direction away from the target line. What you talking bout, Willis?

Hello Johnny. Both are supinating. No need to make it complicated. Both versions shallow the club and the body will move into side bend. Some players don't know how to throw correctly, or have a major OTT problem. Therefore, they have to focus harder on the side bend to correct older/more ingrained faults.
