A few thoughts after one day.

A few thoughts after one day. It seems to me that initiation of the backswing with the right shoulder blade and initiation of the weightshift/downswing with the left knee/quad/obliques still need to happen as taught in the dead drill. They don't happen automatically, at least for me, only focusing on the right foot perimeter. Am I off-base here. Also, I've always been kind of a Matsuyama swinger in that I pause at the top. I've never been able to feel comfortable initiating the weight shift while my backswing is still in progress. So far the same seems to be true if I try to keep the merry-go-round going non-stop. I'll keep working on this. Lastly, I assume, since Rahm and Jessicas right knees don't move much, that the foot perimeter feeling needs to be subtle vs. exaggerated. Thoughts?

Hi Brian, when you start adding the trail arm movement into the mix you can focus on turning the shoulders back more along with keeping the merry go round movement in check, this will take all of the guess work about when and what starts the downswing and make it much easier to keep the movement athletic and free flowing. And yes, over time, you can work to tone down the right knee movement just as long as the hips are fully cleared and you are solid on the left leg.
