I absolutely love this out-of-the-box approach to the golf swing.

I absolutely love this out-of-the-box approach to the golf swing. It figures it would be Chuck who figures this out, as he is a real student and thought leader of the golf swing. Someone else said like Einstein figuring out E=MC2, and that's pretty darn close. Over my 30 years in golf, I have had many traditional and now online instructors, but RSA is the only program that I have stuck with for many years. Distilling the swing into a simple continuous flow, vs the discombobulated positions that pollute our heads and thus the tempo and fluidity of the swing, is genius. I had been struggling with irons and driver distance and index went up from 6 to 9 over the last few months, and I saw some real promise in this ground-breaking approach. Observations: - Drives went up 20-30 yards, though I went from a draw in my normal swing to a fade with Axiom. No biggie I guess if I'm getting that much more distance, but a few times it was an OB slice, so I don't have the consistency down yet. - The irons for me were more of a challenge. The hardest part for me is to concentrate on the feel of weight transfer around the foot, particularly because it is so fast. It is easier for me to think of the 'Elvis' move with the arms, rather than the around the clock weight transfer on right food, to get a continuous clockwise rotary flow. But I can tell if I do that, then I am missing the 'Get Off the MGR' piece and forward weight transfer to move impact point forward and contribute to proper compression. - I hit some atrocious wedges (shanks) which for me are all partial shots (1/4, 1/2, 3/4 swings) trying to utilize AXIOM. Is AXIOM not appropriate for partial shots, or is there some other approach to utilize with these? Interested in Chuck's or Craig's thoughts on these observations. Thanks again for this ground-breaking approach to the swing; I am looking forward to fine-tuning as this makes total sense to me!

Hey Greg, Im not Chuck or Craig but I can certainly help you out as much as possible. First things first, you may want to post some videos for us to take a look at so that we can see if there is some added hand and arm function in the downward half causing the chaos. Also, if you are running into a right leg movement that brings the hips forward or spins you open a little too much, then you could quickly expose the hosel of the club to the ball. So, based on what I am hearing, you may want to take a close look at the right hip and leg function when getting ready to let the hands and arms pass in front. Id post up a video and let us take a close look at things for you to see if you need some sort of supplemental thought to help get your ball striking quickly back in order. Hope that helps. Ct
