I do relate.

I do relate. In keeping my left arm straight in the backswing I have difficulty in keeping my right side relaxed. As I go back the tension in my right hand increases and goes up my arm to the shoulder thus causing the over the top pushing with my right hand. Working on drill to let go with my right hand and just pull with my left.

Hello John. Pressure and tension in the wrong place causes enormous sequence issues. The more you can focus on allowing components to move with keeping tension at bay the easier it will be.
