Craig and I would like your feedback!

Craig and I would like your feedback! We've been working behind the scenes to create, well, exactly what you have been telling us you want! What do I mean? You know that body movements are the key and that all the pros move their bodies like you have learned with the DEAD Drill and AXIOM. But for some, there has been a disconnect when going from doing drills to hitting balls, sound familiar? So, we started looking at how we do things in our in person lessons and clinics and took the 5 Step System, the DEAD Drill and the AXIOM and combined them into a program that teaches you the perfect body movements and positions WHILE hitting the balls. Not just hitting balls, but shaping the ball, curving it, altering trajectory and spin rates - it's built into this brand new program that we want to share with you to get your feedback. It's in a beta form, so not everything works yet, etc. But, you can see the new videos and the core of the program and begin seeing what C4 is all about. What does C4 stand for? The C4 Ballstriking Mastery Program C4 Delivers Explosive Results with its Research Proven 4 Phased Approach to Ball Striking Mastery Consistency - the 5 fundamentals of consistent shots Control - shot shaping and trajectory control Compression - crush the ball with effortless speed Confidence - over each and every shot as you’ll know exactly where it’s going before you hit it Each phase of the program builds on the last and gives you a simple follow along program with the perfect number of repetitions and key checkpoints so you know exactly when to move to the next phase. Phase 1 - Achieve the exact same impact conditions as the pros for instant CONSISTENCY Phase 2 - learn how to properly release the club for effortless speed and CONTROL Phase 3 - learn the ideal sequence for effortless speed for COMPRESSION Phase 4 - put your swing on automatic by refining the swing to gain CONFIDENCE So, if you'd like to be one of the first to see the new content and new program and share your feedback, start here: https://rotaryswing.com/c4/video/112462

I like it a lot. I have been doing the AXIOM compression drill daily for a few weeks and have been having trouble working out the progression from the nets or range to the course. I think this will really help and am looking forward to the guidance on how to progress through the stages. Thanks again for the great content.
This is exciting- an actual progressive program that teaches incremental skills!!! After years of doing CrossFit (need to get back to that), I realized the necessity in being able to correctly do a pull-up (chip shot) before even attempting a muscle up (driver). Glad to see this content!!
Chuck, This is exactly what we need! I struggle with the transition from doing drills in my garage to hitting balls. I think the format you have here is great. It can be easy to get into a mode of thinking too much about swing positions. I find myself working really hard on drills and can't quite turn off those positions when I go to play. It would be great if you could have some guidance on how to manage swing thoughts while playing. But maybe this format will remove that issue due to the specific instructions on how/when to move through the phases with checkpoints. I am super excited to see this entire course! I love how you are always looking for ways to improve your teachings. -John
Hi guys I thought you’d been awfully quiet recently… C4 sounds brilliant! It’s just what we need to be able to make improvements within the playing season. I’ve made some great improvements with ball striking recently which have been noticed on the course. My shots generally go straight and I’m getting them up in the air. I treated myself to some new fitted irons earlier this month and the lower swing weight has made it easier to engage the right muscles and swing is visibly better. Driver is not doing too badly but yes I really need help with my fairway woods! And just knowing a bit about shot shaping would be another tool in the bag. I’m really looking forward to this new programme! Many thanks! Diane
Thanks a lot again Chuck! I am very happy to follow this new 4C setup, train myself to master this so I can help my students also to benefit from Rotary Swing. In my lessons I only work with Rotary method and make sure we all "speak in Rotary language".
Hi Chuck This sounds brilliant. I can do the dead drill gr8 but oncei add speed I revert back to my old swing. I can't wait to see the C4 program. I love your dedication to helping the average golfer. Any chance of a road trip down under? Cheers David
I will start on this today and report back. My initial observation is that C4 sheds more of the noise of the swing for us and tells us how to improve. The concept that I think may be the ever-missing link for me was seeing the throw-the-ball drill demonstrated so effectively from introduction through ball striking. I think this is the golden nugget in C4 for those of us who have already demonstrated the ability to use the left arm to guide the shot shape. I feel I have a strong 9-3 technique since I graduated from the Craig Morrow OCD school of 9-3 when I was in his unlimited group. (The nightmares are becoming less frequent.) Once again, many thanks to Craig. Looking forward to reporting back, Tom
Hi Chuck and Chris. So I've been a member for quite a while but haven't always followed the "method". I've tried both the dead drill and Axiom and while I think they are both great tools I could never make them work for me for some reason. So I received the news of the latest program with some skepticism to be honest, but thought I would give it a try. I watched the first video and spent one session just working on the 4 impact keys outlined. I played today trying to focus on impact as outlined and I was really pleasantly surprised. I hit the ball better then I have all year and yes while there where still some stinkers I also hit a lot of really good shots, better trajectory, compression and direction. I think you are really on to something and can't wait to keep working through the process and whatever comes next. Two thumbs up for sure
Can’t wait to get started !!! Would be happy to be a “Ginny Pig” if you need any help.
Fully invested in RST. Has been a major contributor to my enjoyment of golf over the past year. Anxious to beta test C4. Have worked thru Phase I. Need some direction on drills to ingrain the feels from this phase before I move on. Thanks John
Regarding the page layout itself, I wish there were a small gap between the far right edge of the video (when not in full screen) and the edge of the screen. Currently the edge of the video is the edge of the screen. My page scroller is one of those that only appears when you scroll over it... so when I scroll to click the full screen button, the page scroller pops up and blocks about 3/4ths of the button. :flagpin: :golfer:
This is perfect!! A step by step system that can actually be followed! This is ground breaking!! This may be the Rosetta Stone for golfers.
Hi Chuck and Graig. I watched the introduction and Phase 1 video's a few times and like the very structured way this is set up. Very easy to understand and also easy to work with. Is it correct if I asume that C4 is set up as a follow up for those members who worked already with 5 Step and Axiom and therefore are familiar with the Rotary concept? If C4 is also set up for new members that are not familiar with Rotary concept and start working with C4 could there be a risk that they do not pay to much attention to the Setup and Grip part that is between the Introduction video and Phase 1 video? In that case they might struggle with the Phase 1 drill because their setup and/or grip might be incorrect. Many golfers might think setup and grip I know already, so why look into these video's before I start Phase 1. Could it be helpfull for these golfers if in the Introduction it is pointed out that set up and grip (Rotary concept) are important to study before Phase 1? Hope this helps a little.
My first impressions are highly favourable. In particular I like the guidance regarding expected distance for each phase of the programme. However, regarding expected distances, are these total distances or carry? I think carry would be the more useful. Great stuff, I look forward to going through the programme diligently.
Have been practicing fase 1 for a good half hour this morning. Its harder than I thought to reach 8 out 10, Working on it. One question: during 9 to 3, should one already feel as if the hips are leading the arms? Or should it sort of move altogether?
The way the entire new section is laid out looks great and is very user friendly. Even just doing some drills in Phase 1 and using the 5 checkpoints last night the progression makes complete sense. I'm looking forward to going through the phases. Great stuff!!
Chuck, Love the idea of the 4C’S. Especially because I am about your size and most of my game is accuracy as opposed to length. With just 2 days of phase one, I realized how much I bend my right arm just going to parallel. Also, I realize that 90 % of my shots are to the left of the line! Looking forward to the fixes and can’t wait to move to phase 2. Mike
Chuck this is great. The bridge between the DEAD Drill and AXIOM is exactly what I need to be able to take RotarySwing directly to the course (not just on the range). I'm a long time RS member, and had the pleasure of taking a couple lessons from you and Chris T. I really look forward to the C4 program. Thank you for everything you do! Jim
This is the best. I have been doing this for 3 years now. I know all the basics but havent yet been able to incorporate it all into a repeatable swing. With these exercises I am having a great time going out to the driving range and hitting up to 200 or 300 balls. Starting short and gradually building it up. I think it is absolute genius that you did not include the weight shift in the five fundamentals. Every time I tried to go to more power it all fell apart and I realized that what was missing was the weight shift. For the first time I have been able to really accomplish that. Previously I was always a little late, but now, starting this way, it all just clicks in. By not including this in the five principles it has forced me to discover it myself, which is great. I am hoping that this is going to result in some straight shots, and some consistency, and eventually some distance. Great job!! thanks.
Sounds like an awesome program. I definitely want to give it a try. It can get frustrating when you do drills in front of a mirror and feel like you're hitting all the check points and then struggle to translate it to consistent success on the course. Very excited to give this a try and focus on one phase at a time.
Hey Chuck, I love this idea. This is the exact issue I had when doing daily 1 on 1 coaching with Craig for almost a year, plus all the other years of studying . It was so different when i took everything onto the course. Everything was just different, which frustrated the hell out of me. I've been sitting at an 8 handicap for years now. Even with all this committed daily reps, video reviews you name it. Playing at my club was just too technical, too many thoughts of this check point, that check point and you say just clunky. So my question is how do I go about going through the C4 program while still playing club golf every week. I'm struggling with how I can make the necessary changes without having to think about anything on the course. As I want to enjoy my rounds every week, and have the C4 program dialed in. Do I just go with the swing I have on the day of club golf, and keeping engraining the C4 program on the other days?? Looking forward to your feedback. :thanks: Stephen
HI Chuck & Craig I really like the consistency module at the beginning. Starting slow and going back if any of the check points are not achieved. This is a reminder I need to give myself every day and I think most average golfers need to remind themselves of regularly - Friday fundamentals day - review the check points and do it with a mirror and video.( I have liveview and that is a godsend). So its a definate thumbs up from me. Also as I slowly reworked the consistency swings going from baby ones to slightly bigger ones I noticed that I was sloppy around a few part (you said that we would all have a checkpoint that is out weakness or tendency to to do an old habit) parts and I discovered a few refinements and distinctions that I had missed when doing the dead drill etc, So I am excited that if I follow the step by step process I will get the improvement I need. Shot a net 66 to win the monthly medal the other day and I would say that there were a couple of pure swings there and that was gr8 and room for lots more to come. So thanks again - I will be a life member for sure. Cheers David
Chuck, Phase 2 is great (can't WAIT to get to Phase 3). The righthand handshake feel resonated with me for the proper post release position, thank you. Also, I think we all might hit slightly behind the ball from time to time. What trigger thought would be a good way to shift weight to the lead side without having to think about it every time? I could use the hip bump move, or even start to roll my trail foot, but is there one thought that could wrap all this together? I heard someone say all they think about is finishing with the shaft at the back of their golf hat. Looking for that one thought!! Thanks for all you do Chuck. Jim
Hey Chuck, I took a look at the C4 videos and I can’t tell you how perfect a program I think this is. After a year or so working through RS videos and progressions, I found I was still having difficulty getting my body right and making any improvement. Back in October, I started working with Craig with swing reviews. I lost a few months over the winter with life getting in the way and we picked up again a couple months ago. Craig has been an incredible help and after a lot of reps and a bunch of swing reviews, we just got to the point (last week to be exact) where I’m ready to start adding arms, then club, then ball back to the swing. Due to an unavoidable work commitment, I had to play a couple of rounds over this past weekend, and as expected, it was pretty much a disaster. I really think, from what I saw on the videos, that the C4 program will finally help me put it all together. I think it will shorten the process, and finally get me to an actual, on the course, hitting balls where I want them to go, swing. I’ll definitely keep working with Craig, but it seems that C4 is exactly what I need to get me over the hump. Working through the progressions, using the faults and fixes and then the follow along section to ingrain each phase. Just brilliant. So, here’s my feedback, Hurry up!! Seriously, just can’t wait for C4 to be completed. When it is, I will be all over it.
I had started to work on Craig’s suggestions from my last swing review. Working on the perfect contact drills. Then I saw the email about C4. I moved through Phase I pretty quickly (I think the perfect contact gave me a head start plus I’ve worked through Axiom and all of the steps in the DEAD drills.) I am currently in the ingraining part of C4 Phase II and hitting my irons better and more pure than ever - I’ve gotten accustomed to hearing that crisp “click” and seeing the ball ticket off the club. I’m hitting my 9-iron with consistency to about 90 yards within a radius of about 20 feet!! Never did that before. I’m even able to move the ball left and right to some degree. I know I still have a lot of work to fully ingrain Phase II but I couldn’t resist looking ahead to Phase III and have even “nuked that puppy” pretty consistently with the 9-iron more than a few times to about 120 yards. I’ve only been playing golf for 4 years and am pushing 70 (years young). I hope to be able to break 80 this year thanks to RST!
Can't wait to get started with AI! When will the new dashboard be available?
Hi Chuck The RS-AI and G-IQ system is amazing! TQM for golf instruction! It reminds me of my background in Total Quality Management where we had a target of zero defects and tight process control. See the graphic from a course I delivered. A detailed monitoring of the C4 phases is so much better than an overall rep counter. You really couldn’t do more to help transform amateur golfers. When will it be ready?

Chuck, I really appreciate this new program to follow. I have been a rotary member for a long time & my handicap is around an 8. I focused on phase 1&2 about a week ago & drilled the repetitive nature of the release so it free flows. In my mens league the other day I tried it on the golf course for the first time & shot a 37. That doesn't even tell you how good I hit the ball as I had 5 birdie putts in 9 holes, nothing longer than about 18' & 1 putt from 3', Bad news is that I only made 1of 5 putts, soooooo the 37! I'm disappointed with my putting but because of the release being ingrained my ball striking improved greatly. My putting will come around! Thank you for C4
I watched all the Mastery Videos and at the moment have just focused on doing the 9 to 9 drill. After only 30 reps I started seeing remarkable results with straight shots and increased distance. I have had a lumbar spine fusion and I am 79 years old. I played with no back pain for the first time in 2 years. I am anxious to move along in the series, but I want a solid foundation before biting off too much. To reach 3000 reps will take some time; however, the 9 to 9 drill will be part of my warm up routine for good. Thank you John K.
Hi Chuck, I like the new C4 plan and I have been working on phase 1 and 2 and then at end of my session I will do some full swings to see if things stick. I am working with my 9 year old as well with this plan, and he's been good with phase 1 and 2, but trying to get to full swing his complaint to me is that he has too many things to think about on the full swing. Since he's a kid and flexible to generate more power he gets his hips open pretty good which I think i will work to calm down as he gets older and stronger. But I guess when going to full swing, and working on range, what is the swing thought to use to focus? Focus on left flat wrist, just full finish to be on your left? I don't want to overload his brain and he's a pretty good golfer already shooting Even or breaking par on 2500 yards per 9, so we are just trying to dial it in a little more consistent.
Thanks Chuck. This is exactly what I need. After 9 years of membership, I have memorized many videos and still struggle to translate the theory to the practice, because I haven’t spent the time with the drills. Knowing exactly what to do before moving on to the next step is exactly what I need to put it all together once and for all. Thank you so much for your dedication and relentless pursuit of our mastery of the game.
You must not have the program up yet because I don’t see it on the website. Working with Chris on the full swing with reviews. Did you want a video of my 9-3 here.?

So far I'm liking the sound of the C4 program. I'm one of those who was a good player for a lot of years but somewhere along the line I lost that A grade swing and now have a B grade swing. I believe it is because through the 90's the introduction of metal head drivers and better golf balls I was trying to hit the ball as hard and far as I could and that led to all sorts of problems. I've recently made some improvements by focusing on some individual things picked up here (such as more back swing shoulder turn) and have reduced my handicap from 18 to 13 since February. That sounds ok but I know I need to do a whole of swing program to get that consistency of ball striking we all crave and I can get back into A grade where I belong! :golfer:
Progressing through C4 Phase II. Found that getting the right shoulder pulled back behind the right ear as you suggest makes a world of difference in clean strikes. Using a net now that I know from Phase I what a clean strike “sounds like.” Don’t have to rely on ball flight as much. “Throw the ball drill” has really helped with effortless power-getting the 7-iron out about 140 yards now. Thanks for providing the guide to practicing the right fundamentals!!
In Phase II. Getting very consistent results with 7-iron and other irons (although most of my practice has been with 7-iron). However, am having difficulty transferring the skill from 7-iron to woods, hybrids.
Working through step 1 I noticed my shoulders were too open at impact. I worked on the throw the ball drill and was hitting a nice easy 5 yard draw, the only caveat was I was hitting my irons too high and losing about 10 yards per club. Any ideas on what the issue could be?
Hi Chuck and Craig, I really like your teaching style. I’m a RST member since October 2021, subscribed for one year, at the time being. For lack of time (working offshore for long periods - no chances to hit balls from helideck like Bruce Willis  ), I couldn’t train as I wished. I was still trying to pass the examination of step 1 , when this new C4 came out. I had a look and I think is better, I like it. What should I do now? Continue or start a new structure (C4) from scratch (my preferred option)? And in that case, should I pay a new subscription? Thanks Stefano , from Italy
How do the wrists work at release. The video isn’t that clear. Cheers
Chuck. We touched base yesterday re my release and throwing the club. Do I keep the toe upright in the downswing and let, release happen by itself by rolling over forearms? Cheers
How do I get rid rid og Message from Chuck each time I click on a page. I don't need to see this message any more and it distrubs what's on the page and it's a nuisance to deal with this on every page each time.
I completed Phase I of C4 and logged all my shots. Most were 9/10, some 8/10 and a few 7/10. C4 tells me now that I’m in Phase 2 but doesn’t show my Phase 1 shots completely or correctly, with my last sets trending around 5/10?? I will go ahead with Phase 2 (it tells me Phase 2 is started but shows Phase 1 as “not started”) but don’t feel confident that the tool will record my shots correctly.
I've just completed my second day of 10 x 10 sets. I feel a bit more comfortable today but still don't feel anywhere near moving on. I'm marking myself hard I think but that's ok. A couple of observations if I could have some instructor feedback please? - When I "pure" a shot it barely gets off the ground unlike Chuck's in the Phase 1 Follow Along video. I'm also using a 7 iron. I'm trying to position the ball in the centre of my stance. Does this matter? - I'm having great difficulty rolling my right ankle. I imagine this is because I sometimes have weight shift issues with my full swing. I am now trying to put more weight on my left side as Chuck suggests. - My most common bad shot in these drills is a pull which comes from my full swing. Even with these small swings I can feel my right arm pulling across my body. I am going to start work on the clock face move tomorrow. - I was videoed today (not submitted) and again it stood out how shallow my backswing has become. This has been pointed out to me on a video review here. I'm trying to correct that in these drills.
