Just received my second review from Anthony (great by the way) and he.

Just received my second review from Anthony (great by the way) and he recommended 5 min to perfect takeaway. Two quick questions. 1. REF is great, but you don't mention if there is any forearm rotation during the takeaway. It looks like in most of your examples you do rotate your forearm's slightly so that the back of your left hand gets completely vertical and the club toe is straight up. But when you do the drill with the butt of the club on your belly, I don't see any forearm rotation and the back of your left hand doesn't get to vertical. Unless i intentionally rotate my forearms some, the back of my left hand at parallel is about 30 degree from vertical (pointing toward ground) when the club gets to parallel. Should I practice including some forearm rotation in REF drills so the club is toe up at parallel? 2. Where can I get more info on the last stage, right arm flexion to the top? I searched videos for both REF and flexion but can't find anything. Body turn and elevation first, then flexion is an "ah ha" moment for me so would like to know more about how to do right arm flexion after takeaway. Amazing website and instruction by the way, I have taken 40+ lessons with 10+ instructors over the last 10 years and this is the first time I feel like i am starting to understand how to swing a golf club, thank you!

Hey Richard. I appreciate the opportunity to work with you my friend. Here are a couple of references to help answer your questions. 1. As you begin the elevation of your arms in the backswing, the clubface rotates ever so slightly. I would not focus on any excess forearm rotation on the backswing. Take a peek at both shake hands drill and also the bucket drill. 2. I tagged the 3 functions of the Right Arm in the Backswing to help answer how the right arm is engaged in the backswing from takeaway to the top.
