I'm finishing phase 2 of the C4 system in my home basement (it's winter.

Hi! I'm finishing phase 2 of the C4 system in my home basement (it's winter here) and it's going fairly good. But they are 9 to 3 swings in a net with no distance to achieve. Once a week however I go and play 18 holes on a golf simulator with a friend. My issue is lack of distance especially with longer clubs and it's critical with driver (I'm a single digit handicap but average barely around 200 yards carry with driver). One of my biggest issue is that when I am confronted to full swings and distance is important it seem that instinctively I revert back to pulling from the top heavily with my arm and shoulders which in turn just compounding more the issue of lack of distance. Instinctively I have the urge of pulling hard from the top to create distance but that, I know, make me stiffing my muscle, loose any chance of creating lag and being able to release at the bottom. Is there some exercises/technique/ways/feelings/mind set/shrink  to insure that my downswing will start and continue from my lower body that will in turn be pulling my upper body and arms and hands will just come in for the ride. I know it is totally inefficient and stupid but when I have some commandible distance to make I almost always revert back to this pulling stuff. My brain seem to always make that bad association. Thanks. Luc

There may be some exercises (using a medicine ball is great - Drill for Golf Downswing Sequencing Video). But, the main problem is see is once players get a move down they forget to do it at pace. Focus on the 4 Pressure Shift movements first. Get them to be really snappy, but correct. Then, add an impact bag and start learning how to deliver the speed from the club into the bag. To get more speed you need to practice the speed. Also, take a look at How Swing Speed Affects Compression.
