Learning to release the club properly at impact is probably the single best way to improve your consistency. Most players don’t understand what constitutes and properly release and how to train it. Dive deep into which release you should use in your game. Should you be a trail side, or lead side dominant released in the swing? 85% of ball flight is dictated by club face angle. Understanding how to deliver the club and have proper face angle will lead to straighter shots and lower scorers.

Great webinar Craig! At some point you are saying that for the trail side pattern, you can have more turn and more passive right arm or instead more of a throwing motion and less turn. Seems like a spectrum where the GOAT code is on the throwing side of this spectrum (Tiger 2000) and swings like Dustin Johnson are on the other side of this spectrum. If what I'm saying is right, is good trail arm players can be anywhere on this spectrum or normally they tend to specialize on one or the other extreme of the spectrum? Let me know if the question is not clear enough. Thanks!

Hello Dany. Thanks Dany. It depends. I think I understand what you are saying. Most players specialize in lead or trail side pattern. The trail side is more active trail arm (throw) for the snap. Lead side will utilize more lag/leverage and hip rotation. Nevertheless, in both patterns you can see some similarities of what movements a player kind of borrowed some components from.

Is all the information here on the trailside release compatible with what is now being taught in the GOAT code series?

There is overlap in both patterns that you should focus specifically on the goat code if you were focusing on the trail side movements

Hello Nico. Yes. This was more of an open forum webinar for members that like the presentation side of the equation and little swing nuggets. We have plenty of videos detailing the release if you need further help. Please let me know if I can assist you.
