Thank you I am anticipating going to champions tour qualifying school at the end of this year. I can’t play on the regular tour anymore because I can’t walk more than a mile without being exhausted due to my spine injuries

I play off scratch and been playing for 48 years . I am playing quite well but for a few pull draws and a few pushes but it seems so radical to strengthen my grip underneath the club from a conventional grip and am really worried to go down that path . Is it a categoric requirement

It reduces the amount of rotation needed to square the face. Not a requirement if you don't mind having to time the swing more with your hands.

Sorry one more question. You mention you grip it tight with the right hand but in the final videos on the goat code you talk about snapping wrists with really light grip .

Chuck
Light wrists. You need to hold the club firmly enough to control it but not so tight that you lose the suppleness in your wrists.

You say the armpit up right handed putt felt horrible for ages and now you are a really good putter . How long and how many reps did that take to literally get rid of 37 yrs of old habits ?

Chuck
I struggled for the first couple hundred. 3-500 was where I started to have control of the face and that has been consistent with others experiences from the comments

i play off scratch but am very erratic ball strikder and dont hit a stock shot. I just watched this webinar in full some time after it was live. its superb thanks. And i get it on short game putting and chipping. However, applying this to the full back swing, you take club back with the core initially as with the medicine ball, which feels great, but i have always swung the club flatter inside after that cos thats where the arms go naturally when turning the core after that first 2 feet back from ball. Therefore i have never lifted arms upwards , as my pro always told me not too otherwise thw swing got too steep ( you wouldnt if you were hitting a large tyre) . But Tiger and you have much higher hands at the top, so at what point do the arms effectively lift up, as you say the arms do nothing? But they must lift up to get there and to keep the club in front of you.

The arms don't "lift" in this swing, they go up because of the steepness of the shoulders which are increased during the swing because the trail hip is moving deeper as the swing progresses.

on puting :if you keep the forearm facing up supernated surely that keeps the club face open to he right? , so unless the forearm rotates to square it wont square up? and on chipping surely that opens face and hits it too high if forward is facing upwards?

Nope and nope. I cover this in the grip video and the chip shots. You can see me every chip dead straight and low.

Hi Craig, I have really enjoyed the first two Webinars that you and Chuck released over the last few weeks. At the beginning of this webinar, Chuck mentions a video on “Power” that he just put out. How do I find this video? Thanks!

Hi Edward, I think you may be looking for the "core activation" videos and specifically the punching bag power video. If you search for that it will pop right up.

Chuck! Great stuff as always!! Connecting my hand to my core brings back memories of the pitching mound with obvious differences in delivery but exact same principle. My question is; are you keeping your core tight from start to finish or engaging it to get it started and reengaging to start down? Thank you John

Chuck
I wouldn't say I'm keeping it "tight". It's got to load and stretch and fire. A better way of thinking of it is about loading the fascia which means more "winding" it up in the backswing and "letting it go" in the downswing. Yes, it's firing, but the more you use the fascia the less work you have to put into it.

Chick, fantastic Lesson to stack the pieces together!!! I must say, this is EXACTLY ???? why I was hoping you would deliver after the GOAT Theory… I am really having success as I work through the putting and chipping. I started there and am now about to get into medicine ball drills. This makes so much sense and I am truly feeling this come together! Still Playing, so full swing is actually better but I still feel the conflict as it’s obviously too soon in this process… I have one lingering question, - Does the endless conveyor release still apply!? If yes, are we actively trying to do that from the top still? or is it happening naturally as a byproduct of the swing? Thanks so much, you should feel very proud of this work and super excited about this! Thank you for your dedication and support! Cheers, Steve

Thanks Steve! Appreciate the encouragement, this has been a LONG challenging process to say the least! The endless conveyor belt and throw are all the same. The one thing that has been shifting for me is just how dominant Tiger is with his trail hand. I'd go so far as saying that his left is just a passenger and once you get comfortable with this the things you want to happen like the conveyor belt happen truly automatically if your core movements are good.

Thanks Chuck, that makes a lot of sense! I have simply been feeling the right wrist hinge slightly in the backswing and then feeling as though I’m hitting at the ball with my “hammer fist” Would that be ok as a swing thought for the full swing until everything is truly ingrained? Also, You are more than welcome! I have been along for the ride since the beginning and really can attest as to how far this program has come and what it has turned into from Theory to practical!!! Curious… do you ever wonder if Tiger has looked you up and looked at this? I also noticed that while maybe just a Goat in terms of popularity… Fowlers swing seems to be exactly this… Am I correct in saying that? Thanks again Chuck

The "hammer fist" is a great way to get the feel, so yep, stick with that. If your right hand grip is strong, you'll just keep hitting it straight all day with minimal pronation. As for Fowler, he does have a right hand throw in there for sure. Tiger knows who I am and has for a long time. I lived in Windermere and taught a tour pro who lived Isleworth so I used to hang there quite a big. Funny story, the first time my wife met him, she tripped over him in the gym as he was on the ground doing core work. He used to have this tiny little blonde chick train him and she was hardcore man.

Sweet, will do! It is already translating so I’m pretty pumped about that! Can’t wait to see the finished product once I do all the stages and reps! That’s awesome lol… Tripped over a goat at the gym! Hardcore trainer? Lol… like you gotta believe Tiger would be pretty psyched to see the work you’ve done to uncover his swing with him being a golf geek and all… Have you ever discussed his swing with him?
September 11, 2024

Nah, only chatted with him a couple times and had nothing to do with golf lol.

That’s cool! Doubt he’d have said much about his swing back then other than something Tigeresque lol… I strongly believe that with your knowledge and understanding of his swing you could honestly help him now! Would be speaking the same language! I’d also love to see you try a few more qualifiers Chuck! Why not right…

Chuck
Yeah, he wasn’t the best conversationalist in the world back then lol but he was always very nice to me. And I am thinking about playing a bit more if I can stay healthy but some of my old injuries are coming home to roost so I’m having to really get in really good shape again to protect my back and if it holds up, I wouldn’t mind giving around at the champions tour in a couple years

That’s awesome man! I think he’s very different than they try to portray him at times! I Love that you will give it a go! Sauna and ice bath man!!! Keys! I wanted to share, last night I played a round and buddy… So happy with how this stuff is translating into my entire game! 3rd hole is uphill the entire way, flew into a bunker 280 out… I couldn’t believe it! I’ve never come close to reaching that bunker! I had 3 other drives of 270 or better as well! Irons were so much more compressed (8 iron, 160 into the wind and striped it to 10 feet) Chipping felt controlled as did my putting!!! Still a long ways to go until I’m consistent… but after missing 6 weeks with injury and then coming back and only focusing on this Goat trial material I am seriously encouraged!!! Thank you so much!!! Keep it coming brother!!!

Yeah, he’s a different cat for sure but who would possibly end up normal having a life that he did? Keep it up man let me know how your progress continues.
