Hello Hector. Glad you found this lesson helpful. Might I also suggest because of your takeaway woes Live Lesson - How to Fix Your Arms by Fixing Your Legs in the Backswing Video.

Chuck mentions "allowing the arms to get flung off the chest" toward the end of the video as he is working on the post up (brake) move with the hips. I struggle a little bit with the concept of not moving the fulcrum (left shoulder socket) but allowing the club and arms to release. I think that as long as the shoulders stay square to the target line both can happen - the key to not moving the fulcrum is not letting shoulder open as opposed to not releasing the down the line.

Think of the flinging being the rotation of the arms and the club pulling on the arms during the release.

I think the live lessons are a concise and practical means of teaching RST. At times, I feel Chuck is talking directly to me through the person who is taking the individual lesson. Great way of helping a hacker like myself. Thanks, Ron H.

Love the new editing of the live lesson. Instead of using the impact bag to take the arms and shoulders out of the swing, could you also use a weighted club?

Hello Pete. Thanks for the post. A weighted club isn't necessarily bad as long as you move the club. Don't let it try to force you into positions.

Brilliant video. It really puts the whole dead drill into perspective. It begins with a good set up - without this we really are wasting our time.

Thanks Johnny! It really is just the little fundamentals that we have to truly master. When one of these is off, it's easy to feel lost and start chasing our tail in circles.

Another superb lesson! It really puts all the information into context, as you not only explain the right way (as in the main site videos) but also the negative effects of plus or minus, which really helps when you can see a fellow student making the necessary changes. The 'let your core fling the arms' bit really helps and also the idea of the arms moving down the line in the takeaway. The last bit on clubs, shafts and fitting was also interesting - may be worth a basic video just on that aspect. The editing worked a treat. Thanks again Chuck!

I could watch these all day. I learn so much from seeing others with the same patterns or swing faults as I have, then watching their progression through the lesson. The drills start to make more sense to me when i see them in context to a relatable golfer to me. Keep 'em coming, Chuck!
