Hello, I just upgraded my membership and am excited to take my game to the next levels ! Quick question, where are the videos of the drills Chuck speaks about having the golfers in the clinic do ? I understand the expectations given but the drills would ingrain the feeling for me. Thanks, Tal.

Chuck, Thank you! Hey I wanted to let you know that I have been playing golf all my life and had many in person and online lessons only to struggle and get more confused. Since I started watching your videos I am seeing fast improvement!!! I thank you and look forward to hopefully meeting you one day to shake your hand in person. Also what can I do to protect my lower back? I want to make sure of this, I have had off on on low back issues. Thank you again!

You're welcome Talmadge! There are many things that can hurt the lower back and as you go through these videos you'll see I place a huge emphasis on guarding it. The biggest thing is to have a strong core and keep it engaged. Nothing will protect your back more than being strong. After that it's simply a matter of having proper swing mechanics like you're learning now and you can play pain free for life.

Hello Timothy. He pushed the club back with the lead arm causing the trail to fold early and shoulders not to rotate.

There was no mentioning of a player known for his strong/fast rotation. Who could that be? Justin Thomas? Or somebody else..

Hello Gerd. We aren't really looking to call out certain players. However, for example Tiger switched to more of a body centric rotation for his release which is the primary reason he blew out his back and lost club head speed in the early 2010's.

2 mph more clubhead speed for each longer iron in the bag - what does that represent in increased distance?

Hello Gerd. There are many factors that will adjust this but you can think about for say example a driver 1 MPH can yield up to 3 more yards in distance. 2 MPH can add 5 + yards with each club.

When it is said that the axis tilt decreases a little bit (how much?) - is that also the case in the takeaway or just for the last part of the backswing?

Hello Gerd. Axis tilt will be retained in the takeaway and you will only lose a degree or two as you start reaching the top of the backswing.

On my last swing review it was mentioned that I needed to turn my hips more in my take away and backswing. I am confused by this as I have been practicing to minimize the hip turn (please see page 85 of the RSG Level 1 Instructors Manual that states " hips turn minimally, as little as 0 degrees. ") I have understood, that I was to provide healthy tension between my hips not turning and my upper torso turning. If I am misunderstanding something, please clarify it for me. Thanks

Hello Bernard. The hips will turn relatively little in the takeaway. However, if you have a hard time over using your arms going back. More than likely your instructor want you to add a little hip rotation because it is much more important that the arms don't swing off the ball and that the engine body/hips are directing the motion.

Hi, Chuck is describing at the end a picture of Tiger Woords takeway, saying that their sould be no space between the forearms. I've tried in every possible ways, there is no way i can have no space between my forearms ! I'm 188cm tall, i have broad shoulders (rugby player), maybe thats the reason? Ronan

Hello Ronan. If your trail arm is straight and isn't on top of the club. You should be fine. If you would like to upload a picture of your completed takeaway to the forum here. I would be happy to check it.
