Today's recap will show you the difference in my standard Phase 2 release versus my draw release. Take a look at the subtle changes that happen as a result of my sequence being adjusted.

Hello everyone, Rotary Swing Tour instructor Craig Morrow here and today I'm doing a little recap of my draw session compared to my previous phase two.

You'll see that my previous video is on the left hand side of the screen and my draw video is on the right hand side of the screen.

But you may not pick up the difference in how one shot is straight and the other one has a nice little right to left ball flight.

What's the big thing that you see different here?

If you take a look at my hands, you're going to see on the left hand side of the screen that we're just now starting to see.

Just a little, teeny, tiny bit of my glove in the butt end of the club right there versus.

If you look at it on this side, you'll see a lot more of my glove hand.

And you'll see that there's a lot more rotation in the face at this point.

Now this isn't me manipulating the hands if you watched my session I change my ball flight by my sequencing.

What I try to do when I want to move, maneuver the ball from right to left is I slow everything down.

So that the club can come in and release earlier.

And that's all I did differently in my draw session compared to my regular phase two rep session.

And so you can see right here, everything's going to look very, very similar, but I'm allowing the club to square up sooner.

I don't like to manipulate a lot of components in my golf swing.

I like to let things kind of come naturally and you know a lot of players say that they're field players well everybody's kind of a field player at the end of the day and so when I'm shaping my shot I allow the club to square up sooner by really slowing down the rate of my chest really slowing down the hips so that the toe can naturally release around the heel just a little bit sooner to get that ball moving left for me and you can see that my swings are almost identical at this point other than the fact that the club has squared up sooner which has allowed me to create a little bit of a draw that way when I'm trying to shot shape I don't bounce around between this swing and that swing and that swing and that swing I just adjust my sequencing a little bit and allow the club to do the work for me and if we look at it from the down the line perspective let me switch that up right here you can see the same thing if we look at the prior session and I start to mosey on through the swing you'll see at this point a lot of similarities trail foot's behaving lead hips clearing staying in the spine angle we look at this one on this side so I start to work through here same thing but let's look at the next frame and let's go to the prior one and look at the next frame as well let me wind this back look at the difference in my club face same positioning same person same swing essentially but look at the difference in the club face angle you're going to see that I'm not even to parallel to the ground with my club on the right hand side of the screen and I'm already toe up and on this side it's still kind of rotating and reaching that toe up positioning you can also see the same thing with the hands right here from the face on we'd see a lot more glove hand from this side now as you're working on trying to get the draw I don't want you to take your trail hand and start speeding it through impact and trying to rotate that face hard for dear life what I want you to experiment with instead of making these dramatic changes in your stance and shutting down your shoulders excessively and cocking your head back and standing on one leg which some players will come up with all sorts of little themes to get you to hit a little right to left draw I want you to think about your sequencing I want you to think about your pacing your rate I didn't change my swing for my prior session to start hitting draws to start taking on the bonus challenge in phase two all I did is I adjusted my sequencing I adjusted my rate I tried to feel like my chest stayed a little bit closed for a little bit longer slowing it down I tried to slow down a little bit my hips I wanted to get the feel of the club rotating and almost feel like it's passing my body a little bit earlier so that my sequencing would get my shot shape forming so as you're moseying on through phase two and you're watching my journey videos and you're working on the progress of what you have at home as you attempt the bonus challenge in phase two as you start trying to draw it look at your pacing try to see if you can get a feel for the club rotating by slowing down your body and allowing the draw to happen naturally so that you don't get stuck kind of manipulating it's a really cool feeling when you can start playing around with your sequencing and get the feel for the club doing that and as you're working on phase two and you're getting a release this is a really good way to start to learn how to correct your misses I'm going to get to work and I'm going to start shooting the cut video next I focused on drawing this session which I'm going to do the same thing I'm going to adjust my sequencing and I'll show you in that video but instead of trying every move under the sun to get the ball to turn why don't we try to do it with a little bit of feel why don't we try to do it naturally take your nice and balanced phase two with release and start messing around with your sequencing and messing around with your rate and start getting a feel for the club squaring up earlier it's it's a lot easier way to hit that nice soft draw versus trying to time how hard and how fast you have to flip your hands it's actually kind of fun to slow down and get just as equal or better results
