In the final part of the lesson we start getting Larry to pick up his pace to naturally remove some of his swing flaws without him even thinking about it.
Yeah, you looked kind of smooth and rhythmical there.
That's not how a golf swing is.
It's fast, baby.
It's got to move.
Left shoulder.
A little better.
Yeah, exactly.
I can see.
You can see the quickness.
This is where you're going to get your speed back in and stop hitting it 200 yards.
There you go.
A little too armsy.
Get your body ready.
Left shoulder down to the ground and then clear out of the way.
A little armsy.
It's all the money though, right?
Yeah.
So this is what I want you to use this stuff for.
Because it's going to, one, you can't do this with your hands and be anywhere near 3.
1 because it just makes the club move too much.
And then your body's trying to discombobulate it, trying to bring it all back together, right?
The smaller your movements with your hands and arms, the faster you can move.
And of course, you're going to see like your radial deviation.
I actually kind of want to see that.
Let's see what your graph looks like there.
And a little bit of radial deviation too much there.
That's this one?
Yeah, this is the last shot.
It defaults to the last one.
Okay.
But you're still way more consistent.
But now you're having to think about different things, right?
Now you're not going fast.
I'm not thinking about fast.
But when I work on these things, independent of the other one, then I put it together with that other one, the speed one.
I need to get those all matched up.
Exactly.
Exactly.
So you'll see that when this looks better, your time will look better.
Because it's just less movement.
I mean, this is just showing movement, right?
So, yeah.
The straighter it is, the faster it's going to be.
Okay.
A hundred percent.
Okay.
A hundred percent.
So whichever one you want to work on, you can.
But the main thing I want you to walk out of here with is just like, there's a bunch of different features in there.
But those are kind of the core ones that you want to really be able to pay attention to.
And like I said, if you like the auditory feedback, I think that's a really helpful tool.
There you go.
And you'll see like your path has squared up a lot from where you were too.
That's just showing how much arm movement you've got going on.
How much wrist movement you've got going on.
The less you move your arms, the smaller that movement, that line's going to be.
That was way better.
Exactly.
That felt more like when I was just working on, I was just working on the top line.
I was trying to just get that wrist not to do anything.
That's what I thought about in that swing.
And that was the best one to think so far.
Exactly.
And that's, they're tied together, right?
So if you start moving into a lot of radial deviation with this trail hand, it's going to bow that left wrist a lot.
Yeah.
Right?
So they, they, they're different, but they're the same.
They're kissing cousins, if you will.
When I worked on this top one, that seems to be the one that benefits me the most.
Because of doing this versus just doing that.
Exactly.
Just doing nothing.
And that, that, that feeling really helped me a lot.
This one of just like.
Yeah.
Feeling like there's just nothing going on.
Or less going on at least.
So, I mean, it just feels so much better.
I just work on that one thing.
That looks pretty good there.
I mean, it's a little high up there.
That's okay.
But it's much straighter.
Yeah.
What you're looking for is consistency.
This was much better.
Oh, yeah.
You barely went over the zero line there.
It was way better.
Yeah.
I'm not, I'm delaying that way longer.
Yep.
I'm like, that's, this is an awesome shame.
I told people, I'm like, listen, you don't understand how good this thing is.
And like I said, when you go out on the course in the real world and you hit good shots, you're like, I want to know what I did.
Yeah.
Well, I want to know what I feel.
Exactly.
Because this is like, oh, that's what it feels like.
Like that top line, I'm starting, I'm starting to understand what does it feel like when I'm not doing anything with my wrist, when it's just staying pretty, you know, dormant.
It's not dormant, but for me, it's dormant.
Yeah.
Because you're used to bowling it right away.
I'm used to just.
Exactly.
Yeah.
That's huge.
Okay.
And that's why you were, you were making golf so much harder on yourself.
Because you immediately were slamming that club face dead shut.
I actually recorded that last one.
I want to see.
I worked on it over and over again, too.
It doesn't matter how hard I worked on it, it would just do that.
It doesn't matter how hard.
I worked on it for two years.
See, that's way better, isn't it?
That's hugely better.
It's not even close.
That's not even close.
Uh-uh.
Oh, my God.
I can see why it did a lot better.
Yeah.
I mean, look at your wrist, how flat it is at the top.
You're maintaining that extension.
And now, look at the club face.
It's not slammed shut.
So, you have something to release.
And that's where you're going to get that rotation in there.
Wow.
Well, I'm most impressed about the takeaway.
Yeah.
That's the most impressive thing for me.
If you compare that to where we were, I mean, they're not even remotely close.
Yeah.
Oh, my God.
Yeah.
So, here's the takeaway now.
And where you started, the first swing was this one.
Yeah.
Whoa.
Dude.
Look at this.
Angle here versus this.
Yeah.
This is way straighter.
That club face is like looking at the dirt.
I mean, it's wild.
This just handicaps you immediately.
Well, I mean, I would never have known that without you telling me.
I can really feel that so much.
Yeah.
I mean, the club face is so shut.
So shut.
Yeah.
So now, this is where you see most great players, right?
Their right arms stay straighter even more.
This is just, but as you get more comfortable with this, you're going to feel less need to fight this thing with your hands, right?
But at least now, you're in a position where you can actually release it, not worry about hooking it off the planet.
That's what I wanted to see with you.
You can make me do that.
Yeah?
That's the one thing that I was just, I'm so upset about my swing was this.
The shut face.
The bowing right away.
Yeah, yeah.
That's the hardest thing for me to fix.
I've been trying to do that for two years, and that's probably one of the first times I've ever seen it look this good.
No kidding.
In a long, I don't know if I've ever done, you know, I probably did that in all my life.
Yeah, wow, okay.
I bet you I did.
That's probably why I hooked everything so much.
Oh, you have a, so there's where you were.
That is a very, very shut face.
And so now, just as a reminder, this is you working with the Hack Motion on feeling like you maintain extension the whole time.
Basically, right?
So just using that auditory feedback, keeping it, it truly does, in my mind, when I work on it, I feel like my left wrist just never, ever moves.
Yeah, well, that's what it felt like when I was doing the good or better swingies.
It felt like I just, like, just totally relax.
It's like I'm not doing, I'm trying not to just do anything with it.
Just relax, relax, which helps my right side relax, too, because if it tightens, it's undead.
Exactly.
Okay.
Interesting.
Okay.
Yeah.
So this all makes sense?
Yeah.
I think I've taught you as much as you need for, I don't want to waste any more.
No, no.
That's great.
It's a good start.
Oh, yeah.
That's right.
Make sure you don't steal
