In this video, I will show you how a RST student made great progress on her golf swing by loading up her right side properly. This student was able to shorten her swing and produce more speed than she has ever had. She lowered her handicap by 6 shots and also just won the senior club championship at her home golf course. Come see how to be more efficient and swing the golf club as safely as possible.
Hey everyone, I'm Rotary Swing instructor Chris Tyler and I want to spend some time showing you a really awesome swing transformation from one of our members here at the site.
Mary came to us several months ago and had a lot of golf instruction in the past, Has been around the game for quite a while and never really been able to get the hows and the whys from her golf instructors.
And we wanted to spend some time with her to really kind of uncover what her most detrimental problems were and get her back on track to playing some great golf.
And recently, she's been able to lower her handicap from a 16 down to a 10, and has also just won the senior ladies Club championship at her golf course.
So congratulations to Mary on that and when she started to work with us.
What we wanted to do, like I said, is we wanted to pinpoint the most detrimental problem first.
And what we were able to notice here is you're going to see two very large differences in the old swing to the new swing.
If you look over here on the left hand side of the screen, the older style golf swing that she's got here, you can see that the knees have collapsed, where there's no width between the knees.
Her right leg has moved to a very straight position and now her spine is leaning more towards the target.
You can also see that this golf club is now to about a parallel position.
So it's a very long golf swing, very free flowing.
It's much like those older style golf swings, where you saw a lot of moving body parts.
This could be more of a dangerous position here because she's going to be compressing the lower part of the spine.
So what we've done here is we've worked on trying to stabilize the lower body.
And really try to work on a chain reaction of events to make sure they were a positive chain reaction.
So you can see the difference here she's maintained a little bit more width between the knees, she's got a little bit more flex in the right side, she's still making some good good solid rotation at this point.
She's actually getting her spine just a little bit over rotated, almost into a reverse pivot.
But we're still working on that.
It's a process, but you're going to notice that this golf club is much shorter now.
So what we've been able to do is she's actually producing more club head speed now than she was in the past because she's working more efficiently with the body.
So just by stabilizing her lower body we've been able to make more speed, We've been able to play more consistent golf and now we are also on our track.
To protect and preserve the body, which is what the name of the game is of these days in modern golf is.
We want to be able to protect and preserve the body, and that's what we do at RotarySwing.
com is we want to make sure that you can play golf for a lot of years to come, we want to make sure that you work as efficiently as possible, why work harder and not get a lot of great results.
Alright so that's our MO, so let's get out there and play some great golf guys, I look forward to working more with you guys in the future and I hope you have a great day.
