A creative short game comes in handy when you face an awkward lie such as your ball butting up against the collar of the rough near the green. In this video, I'll show you 2 creative, but simple, ways to hit out of this tough greenside lie and stick it close to the pin.

  • Be creative when faced with a difficult shot around the green
  • Use the leading edge of your wedge to allow the golf ball to come out with ease
  • Use the toe of your putter to glide through the long rough

How about a bladed hybrid or three wood - would either be a good alternative to the bellied putter or wedge?

Hello Brandon. Yes, you could use a bladed wood or hybrid for this shot.
